If any of you are interested I have an account with Fold 3 which has lots of military records from RW up to Vietnam. I will do searches as time allows (pretty slack as of now) for nothing, nada, zip.

Here is an example of one I did a while back. It concerns a B-17 named The Spirit of Chicago that was shot down over Germany on a bombing run; the tail gunner was mortally wounded and the only one killed the others were captured and sent to a POW camp until the end of the war. My Sister-in-laws Husbands Grandfather was the co-pilot who wrote a diary on toilet paper and other scraps of paper. When I did this lookup he was, I believe 95 years old.

The entire report of this incident including the reports by German units runs about 50 pages.
